BiographySugiura Yasuyoshi(1949-) graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1973 and is known for his large stone form (to-seki) installations that can be found in many museum gardens throughout Japan, including the Tochigi and Gifu Prefectural Museums and the Aichi Ceramic Art Museum, as well as his delicate, yet powerful clay creations of various plant life and his colorful vessels.
