BiographyQi Xiang (b.1935- Beijing). full name Aixinjueluo.Qixiang; zi. Pengbo. The ninth generation of descendants of the Yongzheng Emperor (r. 1723-35), a cousin of Qi Gong (whose work in the Yeh collection 2003.46), Qi Xiang studied painting and calligraphy with his grandfather Yu Di, a friend of Qi Baishi. He is a member of Chinese Institute of Calligraphy and of Beijing Institute of Chinese History and Literature. Besides as gifts presented by Chinese politics to foreign countries, his calligraphic works have been collected in Tian'an men, The Mao Zedong Memorial Hall, the Summer Palace Yiheyuan, the National Historical Museum, Beijing, and Tian yi ge Museum in Ningpo, Zhejiang province.
