BiographyWu Bin, a native of the couthern coastal city of Putian, Fujian province, was a professional painter who specialized in Buddhist and landscape paintings. Wu began as a conservative painter but soon producing images of amazing and grandiose proportions, with meticulously rendered forms and a profusion of detail evolving into bizarre and wonderfully organic shapes.
