On View
Not on viewThis bridge is at the southern end of Kunming Lake which dominates the Summer Palace and marks the former site of a lock (a gated enclosure used to raise or lower boats as they pass from level to level) that connected Kunming Lake with the old canal leading to the center of the capital. It is one of six bridges on the western shore of Kunming Lake.
