More Information

天の川作 法螺貝籠花入

This early hanging basket of extremely fine bamboo strips is heavily lacquered inside. The box in which it is stored when not on display was inscribed by a tea master, telling us that it was prized for use in the chanoyu tea ceremony and would have hung in a tearoom.
