On View
Not on viewVietnamese ceramic artists often decorated their wares with whimsical animals, sometimes real and sometimes fantastic. This bat-winged horse has a coat dotted with flowers and gallops joyously through a cloud-filled background. Large plates were produced for export to Islamic regions, where they were used in communal meals.
