More Information
The sun-god Surya brings life-giving energy, holding two large lotus flowers that seem to be bursting with life. Surya rides through the skies on a chariot drawn by seven horses—the head of one is broken off here. His charioteer, the small figure standing in front of Surya's legs, is Aruna, the god of the dawn.
