On View
Not on viewDurga, having been brought forth by the male gods and endowed with their most powerful weapons, kills a buffalo demon, which was defeating them. In this representation Durga is accompanied by her lion and holds the struggling demon by its nose so she can drive her trident into its back.
Durga's character is not simple. Though she is a furious and unstoppable warrior, here her facial expression suggests calm stillness.
