Zhang Fu

A native of Taicang, Jiangsu province, Zhang Fu was active at court during the late Ming dynasty. As a painter he began by studying landscapes of the earlier Ming dynasty masters Shen Zhou (1427û1509) and Qiu Ying (1494û1552). Late in life he developed a personal, intentionally naive style.
