Kyogen raccoon dog mask

A variety of animal characters appear in Kyogen plays, but only the raccoon dog, the fox, and the monkey are represented by specific masks. Other animals—including horses, cows, crabs, and even mosquitoes—are represented by more generic masks combined with appropriate costumes.
