Suzuki Mutsumi is a lacquer artist who works in a mountainous area on the north side of Kyoto City. His work is influenced both by the refined culture of the ancient capital of Kyoto as well as by the natural world surrounding him, as exemplified in this gold tea container with autumnal persimmon motifs.
