More InformationThis celestial being, who holds a lotus bud in his right hand, was likely made to accompany a statue of Amitabha, part of the retinue that surrounds him on his descent to earth. The image has suffered damage: the left arm and the crossed legs have been lost, apparently burnt in a fire.
