Not on viewThis standing bodhisattva image was originally flanked by two attendant bodhisattvas; the one on the right is now missing, and the left one has no head. The blocky style of this piece, the scant jewelry, the style of drapery, and the fine line execution of the halo and reverse side, as well as the docile quality of the incised lions, suggest a date during the Northern Qi dynasty.
