On View
Not on viewThe basic Chinese wishes are represented by the three star gods. The god of blessings (Fuxing) is accompanied by boys. The god of rank and wealth (Luxing) appears as a richly attired official. The god of longevity (Shoulao or Shaoxing) is shown as an old man with a prominent forehead who is holding a staff and the peach of immortality. Many Chinese pray to these favorite household gods in the hope that their wishes will come true.
