Tomb Elements

The walls of tombs and the coffins themselves were sometimes elaborately decorated. These decorations tend to be two-dimensional, and often reflect the fashion in painting of the time. Themes included legendary figures, often those noted for proper moral conduct and filial piety; religious and supernatural beings; and idealized pursuits of the aristocracy.
