These four [B60P316, B60P317, B60P318, and B60P319] demure-looking musicians are playing the flute, a stringed instrument, and the cymbals. Young women playing Central Asian music were a fixture at the endless parties and other entertainments in the Tang capital Chang’an, now known as Xi’an.
