More InformationKnown by the traditional names: taibai-zun ("taibai jar") for an uncertain reason or yufu-zun ("fisherman jar") for the shape resembling a basket used by fishermen, this form was one of the Kangxi imperial productions in white-glazed and peachbloom-glazed types. On the body, three medallions, each enclosing a twisted dragonet, are spaced at intervals. The harmony of the design and the solid quality of the written mark are important in determining the authenticity of such pieces. Later reproductions bear bodies and with misproportioned profile.
