More Information

This piece is very similar to the one discussed above (B60J719) and they may indeed be a pair. Examples from tombs are most often found in groups of two or more and Chinese archaeologists have theorized that they might have been made and worn in pairs. The exact provenace of the two discussed here is not known, and it is possible that they came from entirely different sources. However, their close similarity in size and shape and their relative rarity does suggest that they come from the same find and might have been a pair.
