Not on viewMany men from the southern Philippine island of Mindanao would have worn jackets such as this one in the early twentieth century. Jackets of this type are T-shaped, short-waisted, and elaborately decorated with embroidery. Their decor is often supplemented with beads and shell sequins. The Bagobo people were known for their intricate embroidery and carefully hand-crafted shell sequins, both of which are seen on this garment.
