Not on viewSir Nawab Salar Jung (1829–1883) became prime minister of the state of Hyderabad at the age of twenty three in 1853. During his tenure, Salar Jung restored order to Hyderabad, which was in disarray at the time of his appointment, and went on to make bold reforms. The Salar Jung family is credited with safeguarding rare artifacts and collections, which are now at Salar Jung Museum, the third largest museum in India. It is well known throughout India for its prized collections belonging to different civilizations dating back to the first century CE.
