Not on viewThis photograph shows the interior of the Pearl Mosque, inside the Agra fort. The fort was built by the Emperor Akbar (ruled 1556–1605) between 1565 and 1579, of red sandstone. The Moti Masjid, or Pearl Mosque, topped with three bulbous domes, has long been considered one of the gems inside the fort complex. It was built between 1648 and 1655 during the reign of Akbar's grandson, Shah Jahan.
