Painted by Fang Zhaoling of Liangqi at the London art studio, summer 1987.

While the composition of this painting is similar to that of other landscapes Fang Zhaoling was producing at this time, she changed the emphasis here by lowering the point of view. While the towering landscape with a central waterfall fills most of the painting surface, the figures on the boats are the focus. One boat holds a fisherman with his cormorants and a companion who is barely visible beneath the rattan awning. A single figure poles the smaller boat to the right.
