On View
Not on viewThis votive plaque may have come from the sacred deposit chamber of Wat Ratchaburana, which was sealed in about 1424. Hundreds of votive tablets and plaques were found there. Many of these were sold to the public to raise funds for building a museum. This plaque was bought in Ayutthaya in August 1967. Virtually identical plaques are known to have been found not only in the Wat Ratchaburana chamber but also in those of other temples in central Thailand.
