More Information
The small number of symbols shown with this figure make determining exactly which bodhisattva is represented difficult. It is probably the bodhisattva Manjushri, who is associated with transcendent wisdom. He carries a sword with which to destroy ignorance. A small representation of a buddha hovers at the figure’s left shoulder.
