More InformationThe Tibetan table is a practical piece of furniture whose three legs can be folded into a rectangular box to facilitate moving and storage. The main motif of this metal example shows the Hindu sun bird Garuda flying as he clutches two serpent kings, each with seven hoods. Symbols of prosperity include the flaming triple gems as well as makaras (mythical crocodiles) from which spill luxuriant foliage.
